Its crystal structure belongs to the classic fluorite-type cubic crystal system. Nano cerium oxide is insoluble in water but soluble in strong inorganic acids. It possesses unique chemical properties, enabling reversible transformation between Ce³⁺ and Ce⁴⁺ valence states.
