La Oxide (La₂O₃): Optical Glass, Ceramic Capacitors, Catalysts, Ferroelectrics, Pharma Material
La oxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula La2O3, appearing as a white powder. It is soluble in acids, ethanol, and ammonium chloride but insoluble in water and ketones. As a rare earth material, La oxide has extremely wide applications and plays a significant role in glass, ceramics, electronics, and other fields.

Production Process
La oxide is obtained through solvent extraction separation using a P350-kerosene system with 35–38 extraction stages to isolate La from other rare earth elements. The La-containing raffinate is neutralized with ammonia, precipitated with oxalic acid, filtered, and calcined to yield the final La2O3 product. It can also be produced by calcining La carbonate or La nitrate, or by thermally decomposing La oxalate.
