Dysprosium chloride is an inorganic compound with chemical formula DyCl₃•6H₂O, appearing as pale yellow crystals. Soluble in water (approximately 25g dissolves in 100mL at 18°C) and benzene. Decomposes to dysprosium oxide at 760°C.

Preparation Method
Dissolve dysprosium oxide in 50% hydrochloric acid using steam bath heating. Filter if residues remain. Concentrate filtrate at 75°C water bath, crystallize by cooling. Collect crystals and dry in vacuum desiccator with NaOH/Mg(ClO₄)₂ to obtain product.
