Thuliumoxide is een lichtgroen poeder met de chemische formule Tm₂O₃. Het is oplosbaar in minerale zuren maar onoplosbaar in water, en absorbeert gemakkelijk vocht en kooldioxide. Bij verhitting tot 1300°C transformeert het in hexagonale kristallen zonder te smelten.
